You are Wonderful - for my Daughter

With the current stay-at-home orders, my niece's wedding and reception were postponed from April to October.  As a result, I didn't get to see my daughter who lives in Maryland as planned.  Although that is disappointing, we are finding that we can have FaceTime sessions where we craft together and that is fun, relaxing and helps us feel connected over the miles.

Last night, we were working on a card for my Etsy page and bouncing color ideas around.  I wanted to use flowers to make something bright and cheery.  I made a similar card a few months ago, but it was monochromatic.  Kristin suggested blue as the color for the flowers - blue!??? So we played around and I ended up with a card that was lovely and colorful, but no blue flowers.

She asked me to send her one of the final cards since I hadn't sent a card to her in a while.  I decided to send one, but not the one we completed last night - I made her one in all blues and I must, say, I like it even better than the colorful one!

I used the dies from the Coordination Release of products for the flowers, leaves from the Floral Framelets Dies (retired), and Frosted Bouquet Dies and did everything in Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Pretty Peacock.  I think she will love it!

Can't wait for her to get it!
