The Amazing Full of Life Suite!

I fell in love with the Full of Life Suite the moment I saw it at our annual Stampin' Up! convention, which I attended in March.  As a perk of being a demonstrator, we get to pre-order some products from the new catalog early and I was sad that this wasn't available for that pre-order!  I had to wait until the catalog launched in the beginning of May to order this wonderful suite of products.

As soon as I got this suite, I started playing with it.  The stamp set has 14 stamps and the coordinating die set has 9.  The DSP pack is 6" x 6" and was created with watercolors, so it's vibrant, and luscious, and just my style!  There are two additional pieces to the suite, both iridescent - Faceted Gems and Striped Trim (ribbon).  The more cards I created with this suite, the more I loved it.

Before we begin making the card in the video, take a look at the stamps and dies.  I made this helpful chart to display them and show how the dies and stamps coordinate.  The large heart stays attached to the panel you cut it from unless you make a small cut as I indicate.  When you do that, you'll end up with the outer ring and the leafy heart.  Of course, you can just use the outer heart ring which leaves a solid heart (again, with a small extra cut). The two smaller hearts are stamped as one stamp, but the die will separate them into two individual hearts.  I love how the word friend can be stamped or die cut, then both can be backed with the bubble layer of friend.  The color splash (shown in blue ink) is great for placing a pop of color behind words.  I show it stamped off twice to help you visualize how to use it in your cards.

Gather your supplies:

  • Cardstock: Crumb Cake  8-1/2" x 5-1/2"; Basic White 2" x 3-3/4" and 3/8" strip; Full of Life DSP 2-1/16" x 6" (five rows of squares), 7/16" x 6" (1 row of squares) and small scrap for hearts
  • Stamp Bundle:  Friends for Life
  • Ink:  Melon Mambo, Pretty Peacock
  • Adhesive and Tools
Fold your card base in half and crease with the bone folder.  Trim five rows and then one row from the DSP with the small squares - I didn't really measure it, just cut in the center of the white line separating the rows.  Position the wider piece about an inch from the bottom of the card on the front and the single row of squares on the inside.  Trim off the extra DSP with your paper snips. Use the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine to cut out the friend die and adhere this to the card as shown.  Stamp the Love You sentiment with Melon Mambo ink on the strip of Basic White and trim to size.  Pop this up above Friend.

For the inside, add the Thinking of You sentiment in Pretty Peacock and add the two little hearts cut from the scrap of DSP.  There are so many colors you can use for ink colors - just pick two that coordinate with the colors in the squares.

I'm not going to say much about these other samples - the paper does most of the work to make them beautiful!  I do show several cards near the end that use other packs of paper, just to illustrate that this bundle works well beyond the contents of the suite.  Because I have so many cards to show you, my video is a little longer than normal, but I don't think you'll mind.  Enjoy all the inspiration!

I am positive you will see me using this suite of products many times in my upcoming videos.  The paper is the very best and I can't wait to see what you come up with when you give it a try!  Please share this video with your friends and if you haven't already done so, give me a thumbs up, subscribe and leave me a comment.  Until next time,

Karen
