Welcome to the Hello, Irresistible Suite Collection!

It never gets old!  I love when new products become available and I get so excited to order them (and get them delivered!!)  On March 1st, Stampin' Up! released some awesome new products that aren't in a catalog - they are on-line exclusives.  As a perk to being a demonstrator, I got the opportunity to order some of them early and I wanted to introduce a lovely collection to you in my video.  The Suite is called Hello, Irresistible - I think you'll love it!

In the suite, there is a stamp set/die cut bundle, a pack of 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper and lovely embellishments called Loose Frosted Dots.  In the paper pack are two colors not currently in our lineup - Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock - my guess is that they will making a comeback in the upcoming annual catalog! I had some Pretty Peacock left in my supplies (after all, it was an in-color just a few years back) and I did use that is some of my examples.

Gather your supplies:

  • Cardstock: Soft Sea Foam 8-1/2" x 5-1/2"; Hello, Irresistible DSP 3" x 6", Basic White 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Bundle:  Irresistible Blooms
  • Ink:  Soft Sea Foam
  • Silicone Craft Sheet
  • Ruler
  • Adhesive and Tools
Start by folding your card base and creasing the fold.  I show you how to stamp the words Thank You three times diagonally on the piece of Basic White.  If you use a rectangular block rather than the almost square one, you can line up the bottom edge of the block with a ruler which is placed at an angle to be a guide.  Start with the middle position and re-ink before stamping the ones on either side.  I find that this simple trick will help you achieve good alignment.

Next, cut out two of the dies that look like circles on strings.  I tried using adhesive sheets, but with the delicate lines in this piece, they just wanted to stick together.  So instead, I applied glue to the back side of the die cuts by using a sponge and dabbing it on.  It can get a little messy, but since we need all the little lines to be sticky, I found this worked best for me.  Position a piece above and below your words, making sure it goes all the way to the edges.  After they are stuck down, trim the parts hanging over the edge and adhere this to the card front.  If desired, you can add another piece to the inside of the card.  That's it!

I had a lot of fun making samples - most of them need no explanation.

These last two were made using Fluid 100 Watercolor paper where I added my colors to make a blend of colors as a wash.  Then when it was dry, I stamped my flowers and leaves to get a beautiful custom look for my card.  On the card on the right, I used Pretty Peacock and Soft Sea Foam to color the paper before cutting my dots and lines die cut.  I really liked the extra thickness of the watercolor paper for this delicate die - it was easier to handle.

Thanks so much for watching my video and reading my blog.  Take a look at the many other exclusives on my website too - your orders are greatly appreciated!
